- A mythical, scenic region
where Fylleån forms a narrow lake system with the lakes Gyltigesjön, Töddesjön, Simlången and Brearedssjön on its way towards the sea.
The town used to be called Breared, but in the early 1900s, the local train station was renamed Simlångsdalen to avoid confusion with similar-named towns like Bredaryd. The church and several other places still use the name Breared. The two names are used daily, and to visitors, it can be quite confusing.
The old church town of Breared was a trading- and meeting place on the road between Växjö and Halmstad, giving rise to an inn in the 17th century.
Simlångsdalen is a unique village with its surrounding lakes, strong village community and cultural traditions. The nature and experiences in the surrounding area are important to us. To slowly develop little by little and on nature’s conditions. That is our vision.
We would love to share our paradise with you.
