Breared Church

Breared's church originates in the Middle Ages, probably as early as the 13th century. As you walk through the church gate, you can see gorgeous frescoes and wood carvings from the 18th century. The church is constructed of paved gray stone in Romanesque style.

In 1563, during the Nordic seven-year war, the church was burned down by the Swedes but was later rebuilt on its medieval walls. The pulpit is from 1593 and has sculptures of the four evangelists.
